What ages do you serve?

  • During the school year - Infants age 6 weeks through age 5. 

  • During the summer months - Infants age 6 weeks through age 12 (school-age).

What are your hours of operation for 905 E Lake Parker Location?

This is Dawson's Learning Academy (DLA):

  • Operating Hours - 6:30 am - 6 pm 

  • Summer Hours - 7:30 am - 5:30 pm

  • We ask that your child please be at school no later then 9am.

  • Please call if there is an issue so we can make arrangements.

  • Late arrivals require a doctor's note upon arrival, NO EXCEPTIONS!

  • We are closed on weekends and public holidays.

This is Dawson's Learning Center (DLC):

  • Operating Hours - 7:30 am - 5:30 pm 

  • Summer Hours - 7:30 am - 5:30 pm

Do you offer any educational or enrichment programs?

  • Yes, we offer a variety of age-appropriate educational and enrichment programs, including language and literacy, math, science, art, and music.

 

How do I enroll my child?

  • Please visit the "Forms" page and follow the instructions.

How do I make a payment?

  • After your child is enrolled, you will have the option to pay with tuition express. Your center director will let you know what other payment options are available at that site.

What supplies does my child need?

  • Please visit the "Forms" tab to print a list of supplies.

What meals do you provide?

  • We provide nutritious, balanced meals and snacks throughout the day that meet the dietary needs of children. We can also cater to specific dietary restrictions or allergies.

How do you handle emergencies or illnesses?

  • Our staff is trained in first aid and CPR. In case of medical emergencies, we will immediately contact parents and, if necessary, seek professional medical help. If a child becomes ill while at our center, we have a designated quiet area where they can rest until a parent or guardian arrives.

 

What is your discipline policy?

  • Please visit the "Forms" page and click on "Discipline Policy" to view and download it.

 

Do you offer a flexible schedule or part-time enrollment?

  • We understand that every family has different needs. Flexible scheduling depends on enrollment at each of our locations.

 

If you're full, how do I get my child signed up on the waiting list?

  • Please visit the "Waiting List" page and follow the instructions.

 

Do you offer VPK?

  • Yes, we offer VPK at both locations.

How do I get my child signed up for VPK?

 

STEP 1:

Fill out an application by downloading a copy at www.elcpolk.org or pick up an application at one of the following enrollment locations:

STEP 2: 
Show a copy of your child's birth certificate and proof of residency (like a copy of your utility bill or bank statement) to one of the enrollment counselors at the VPK location nearest to you.

STEP 3: 
Choose a program. VPK is offered in your community by early childhood education providers in private and faith-based centers, family child care homes and public schools. Check the www.elcpolk.org web site for a current list of VPK programs in your area
